Katherine Humfrey is a contemporary mixed-media artist based in the Scottish Highlands. Deeply rooted in the landscape where she was born and raised, her work pays homage to the region’s abundant flora and fauna. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant life of the outdoors, she works across painting, sculpture, mould making, photography, and illustration to create pieces that celebrate the natural world. She is well-equipped for many artistic ventures.

A first-class BA (Hons) graduate in Contemporary Art, Katherine has gained recognition in local papers and galleries for her evolving body of work. She collaborates with her community, creating an illustrated children’s book inspired by the local primary school and leading weekly adult art classes in multiple venues, which helps foster meaningful connections and support creative growth. Katherine is currently pursuing a qualification in teaching in further education, allowing her to share and support the next generation of creative learners.
